Happy birthday dear one, my Lord. =)

In my daughter's face
The pain that stills
Her patient eye
Carves his satin gaze.

Today, your puppy died.

I felt sad with you, and for you, but not for the reasons you think.

Erm.

I just realised how .... uncontextual the last post was.

So to balance out the snarliness, I actually have been very happy for every day this week, excepting that incident that was touched on in the previous post.

Was very snarly yesterday, for reasons best left unsaid in a public space.

My home is in empty spaces! whee

*rubs nose bridge wearily* it's quite amazing how much equilibrium one regains after having enough sleep.

Today for just a minute while walking down the corridor on the way to a mirrored surface at work, I forgot I was wearing heels, and their clicking surprised me. Shortly after, at the mirror, I was stunned yet again to see what I was wearing at work today, and how my hair looks now.

The way I appear to people sometimes pleasantly surprises even myself. ;)

Has it only been a week? How time flies.

(*leans back fully in chair to blog*) <--- haha, I wish.

I miss your house, and your books. I miss that complete relaxation of knowing what makes you tick, and that you would never touch me, and that strange peculiar nicotine-scented silence.

I miss your Garfield eyes, that faint sparkle: of John Nash and Marcel Proust behind them.

But, funnily, oddly, strangely..... there isn't enough of you for me to miss. The powdery warmth of your house lighting has more presence than you do. It seems sad.

*whistles*

And that was the section on work.

I bought a new book, and I shall proceed to savour it this weekend when the brain is retrieved from its vat.

Drink dope in the morning! It's good for you.
